The film takes viewers on another wild ride with Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom, picking up directly after the events of the previous two installments. It places heavy emphasis on their evolving relationship, attempting to solidify it as an unbreakable bond. However, despite this focus, the film suffers from several flaws that impact its overall quality.

The story revolves around the continued development of Eddie and Venom’s partnership as they face new challenges and cosmic threats that test the strength of their connection. The premise is engaging at first, but it gradually loses momentum as the plot becomes chaotic and directionless. The ending leaves viewers questioning the character’s future, especially given the mixed-to-poor reception of the previous entries and the introduction of Knull, a villain of immense power rivaling cosmic entities like Thanos.

Tom Hardy once again delivers a standout performance—the film’s strongest asset—successfully balancing comedy and drama. On the other hand, Juno Temple gives a performance that falls below expectations, especially considering her talent. Her character feels entirely marginal and adds little value to the overall narrative.
The action sequences start off as fairly average but improve as the film progresses. The visual effects used to create the alien creatures and monsters are quite good, adding a strong visual appeal—particularly in the design and execution of the symbiote creatures.
However, one of the film’s most noticeable weaknesses is its overreliance on comedy. Much of the humor feels forced, exaggerated, and simply unfunny, which negatively affects the viewing experience. This awkward comedic tone has been a recurring issue throughout the franchise.

Overall, the film is average at best. It struggles with messy storytelling and an unsuccessful comedic approach. It is worth watching primarily for Tom Hardy’s performance, but it offers nothing particularly new or groundbreaking to justify high praise.
